The company serves the petrochemicals industry by manufacturing LAB, which is further used as a raw material for producing Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) used in biodegradable laundry detergents, light-duty dishwashing liquids, and industrial cleaners manufacturing.
ELAB, as of July 2023, has a production capacity of 100 thousand tons per year of LAB, 80 thousand million tons per year of normal paraffin, and 36 thousand million tons per year of benzene, as well as 5,500 million tons per year of Heavy Alkyl Benzene (HAB) as a by-product. The company employs advanced technologies and processes, including UOP (universal oil products) Molex, Pacol, Define, PEP, and DETAL, to produce LAB and HAB. HAB is used as heat transfer oil and lubricating greases.
