Founded in 2014 and based in Seoul, South Korea, Afinit (formerly known Balancehero Co. , Ltd. ), trading under the name True Balance, develops a financial application to manage prepaid balance, recharge, and earn balance by the use of an application on their mobile devices. The platform also allows their customer to recharge gift cards and send them to your knowns and pay electric and gas bills online.

In March 2026, True Balance raised USD 10 million in venture debt funding led by Northern Arc Investments. True Balance offers a digital financial services platform focused on providing quick, unsecured personal loans and everyday digital payment services to underbanked and unbanked users in India through its mobile app. Its core lending offerings include cash loans and short‑tenure personal loans, facilitated through RBI‑licensed NBFC partners, with a fully digital application process that includes KYC verification and eligibility assessment within the app. In addition to lending, the platform enables utility bill payments and mobile recharges across services such as electricity, gas, broadband, water, and DTH, positioning True Balance as a combined credit access and payments solution.

The company will use the March 2026 funding to scale its lending operations, expand its credit portfolio, improve lending infrastructure, and introduce new loan products for underserved borrowers through its NBFC arm.
