Advitos GmbH

Founded in 2005 and based in Munich, Germany, Advitos GmbH, formerly Hepa Wash GmbH, operates as a diverse and therapy-specific application option that supports the treatment of patients that undergo surgery in kidney, lungs, liver, and acid-base balance. In June 2021, Advitos GmbH raised EUR 20 million in venture funding led by Crédit Mutuel Equity and European Innovation Council. Bernhard Kreymann is the founder and CEO of the company. The company developed and markets the ADVOS multi-device (ADVanced Organ Support) to provide an integrated 4-in-1 multi-organ support therapy that enables simultaneous support of all three main detoxification organs – liver, lungs, and kidney – and corrects blood acid-base imbalances.

The solution allows fluid-based elimination of water-soluble toxins (kidney), protein-bound toxins (liver and kidney), and CO2 (lungs). The firm also offers conventional extracorporeal procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), dialysis, and liver-assist therapy that supports the function of one or two organs. Advitos' other products include advos functionality, system peripherals, advos indications, advos-publications, and therapy centers. The organization plans to use the June 2021 funding to increase medical evidence, expand its commercialization internationally, and add additional therapy features to increase the ease of use of the ADVOS multi.
